Awarding of the contract for design and construction for the completion of the balance work of the 624 Housing Project at Colombage Mawatha in Kirulapona

- The Urban Regeneration Project has been initiated, with a view to facilitating the housing requirement of the undeserved community in the city of Colombo. In this regard, action is being taken to obtain a US$ 200 million loan facility from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. The proposal made by the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Urban Development, Water Supply and Housing Facilities to award the contract for design and construction for the completion of the balance work of the 624 Housing Project at Colombage Mawatha in Kirulapona, utilizing a part of these funds, to M/s Maga Engineering (Pvt) Limited as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
