Ensuring access to Higher Education Opportunities for the students eligible from the Academic Year 2020

- It has been predicted that the number of students who will be eligible for the university admission by the year 2024 will be increased up to around 24,000 and in accordance with the new development policy frame work of the Government, the Government expects to provide higher educational opportunities for all students who pass the advance level examination from the academic year 2020. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Higher Education, Technology and Innovation, to establish a Panel of Experts comprising of experts in the fields of Education, Technology and Information Technology to submit recommendations in regard to the steps to be taken to achieve the said goal, was approved by the Cabinet.
