Presenting the Resolution to avail provisions for the settlement of unsettled bills of the year 2019 in Parliament

The Cabinet, at its meeting held on 2020-02-05 granted approval to present a Resolution in Parliament in order to amend the Vote on Account - 2020 with a view to availing provisions for the settlement of the unsettled liabilities amounting to approximately Rs.367 billion pertaining to the projects and programmes commenced by the previous Government within the last year. Accordingly, the proposal made by Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economy and Policy Development to present the said Resolution prepared by the Legal Draftsman for which the clearance of the Attorney General has been granted, was approved by the Cabinet.
