Implementation of a Comprehensive Integrated CCTV Camera Solution for the Port of Colombo

- A proposal has been submitted by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority to establish a security camera system covering all entrances to the port premises, cargo, warehouses, terminals, open storage areas, roads, perimeter fences and the break water entrances to the harbour to observe, monitor and record all activities happening in those places. This would result the further assurance of the security of the Colombo Port, increase the productivity and efficiency and create a conducive environment for the commercial activities in the Port of Colombo. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Ports & Shipping, to appoint a Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee and a Technical Evaluation Committee for same, was approved by the Cabinet.
