Implementation of the proposal pertaining to wages in the plantation sector

- It has been stated in “Saubagyaye Dakma” that action would be taken for the payment of a minimum wage of Rs.1000/- per day for estate workers. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E. the President for the payment of a minimum wage of Rs.1000/- per day for estate workers with effect from 01st March 2020, was approved by the Cabinet.
