Appointment of the Cabinet Sub Committee on Cost of Living

- The proposal made by H.E. the President to appoint the Cabinet Sub Committee on Cost of Living under the Chairmanship of H.E. the President comprising the following members to make recommendations to the Cabinet regarding the matters concerning the cost of living, was approved by the Cabinet.
* Hon. the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economy and Policy Development;
* The Minister of Mahaweli, Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Development and the Minister of Internal Trade, Food Security and Consumer Welfare;
* The Minister of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources; and
* The Minister of Plantation Industries and Export Agriculture
It was also decided to appoint a Committee comprising of 06 State Ministers and 12 Officials to assist the said Sub Committee.
