The proposed programme for the maintenance of the electric fences constructed and follow-up action in order to resolve the Human Elephant conflict

- The Human Elephant conflict which has arisen in the country has become a national issue subject to the focus of all stakeholders. The proposal made by the Minister of Environment and Wildlife Resources, to update the existing electric fences and maintaining them, to provide the human and physical resources necessary for the purpose in order to resolve the problem and to implement the programmes planned to resolve the problem with the assistance inclusive of the District Secretaries and all relevant stakeholders, was approved by the Cabinet.
