Introduction of a new, school based scientific methodology instead of the present district based methodology for selection of students to the State Universities on the Z Score method

- Although it is the primary responsibility of the Government to provide equal opportunities of education to each and every child, it has been found that even at present, there exist various disparities in terms of the educational facilities and the quality of education among the Provinces, Districts and Schools as well. In the circumstances, the proposal made by the Minister of Education to appoint an Experts Committee comprising of competent persons on the subject matter to make recommendations for the introduction of a school based new scientific methodology instead of the present district based Z Score methodology for selection of students to the State Universities, was approved by the Cabinet.
