Reimbursement of the Training Expenses of the Grama Niladhari Officers who have fulfilled the requirement of computer literacy

- Under the E-Grama Niladhari database to be introduced covering the Grama Niladhari Offices Island wide, the Grama Niladhari Officers will be entrusted with the responsibility of providing various services associated with computers to the service recipients who visit the offices of the Grama Niladharies. Further, according to the Scheme of Recruitment of the Grama Niladhari service the Grama Niladhari Officers should also complete their training requirements relating to computer literacy. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Internal & Home Affairs and Provincial Councils & Local Government, to grant an allowance of Rs.7,000/- as a reimbursement of the training expenses incurred by the Grade III Grama Niladhari Officers who have fulfilled the requirement of computer literacy within 03 years from the date of their appointments, was approved by the Cabinet.
