Award of the tender on Long Term Supply of Coal to 900MW Lakvijaya Power Plant

- The proposal made by the Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development, to award the contract for the supply of 50% of the quantity of 2.25MT of coal required for the Norochchole Lakvijaya Coal Power Plant for the period from November, 2019 up to April, 2021to generate electricity, to M/s Swiss Singapore Overseas Enterprises Pte. Ltd. at the rate of US$ 60.71 per MT, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
