Construction of small scale Solar Power Plants under the 'Soorya Bala Sangramaya Phase II'

- The proposal made by the Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development, to award the contract for Moneragala Grid Substation under the construction of solar power plants, on build, own and operate basis of small scale solar power plants under the 'Soorya Bala Sangramaya, Phase II' programme to M/s Gold Corporation Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd., subject to the rate of purchase price of LKR 14.24 per unit of 1KW, as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Negotiation Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
