Development of the Base Hospitals in Elpitiya and Balapitiya

- The proposal made by the Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine, to carry out the future activities necessary to construct a 09 storey building for the Elpitiya Base Hospital to accommodate an Intensive Care Unit and Wards, Theaters and Accident and Emergency Treatment Unit, Radiology Department and Labs with adequate infrastructure facilities, at an investment of Rs.6.186 million and to construct a 10 storey building for the Balapitiya Base Hospital to accommodate an Outdoor Patients Department and an Accident and Emergency Treatment Unit, all Wards, Theaters, Labs and Supportive Services at an investment of Rs.6,228 million, was approved by the Cabinet.
