National Food Security and Vulnerability Assessment - 2019

- The proposal made by the Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth Affairs, to carry out the National Food Security and Vulnerability Assessment in collaboration with all the stakeholders, based on the pilot feasibility study due to be initiated covering the District of Kurunegala to ensure the feasibility on the assessment of the National Comprehensive Food Security and Vulnerability Assessment of Sri Lanka and to establish a National Food Security Cluster comprising of Senior Officers of all the relevant Ministries/line Ministries, to synergize the necessary strategies and programmes with a view to ensuring the National Comprehensive Food Security, was approved by the Cabinet.
