Request to obtain the Consultancy Services for the Development Projects of the Department of National Zoological Gardens

- The consultancy services have been obtained from the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau, the State Engineering Corporation, the State Development and Construction Corporation, the Department of Buildings and the Urban Development Authority for the preparation of the Master Plans of the Dehiwala Zoo, Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Pinnawala Zoo, Ridiyagama Safari Park and the Gonapala Farm, coming under the purview of the Department of National Zoological Gardens. As it has been anticipated to complete all the said construction work by the end of the year 2022, the proposal made by the Minister of Tourism Development, Wildlife and Christian Religious Affairs, to obtain the consultancy services for the said construction work from the same institutions, based on the nature, complexity of the relevant construction and the experiences gained by the said institutions on the subject, was approved by the Cabinet.
