Establishment of a Steering Committee for the development of the Coconut Industry in Sri Lanka

- The proposal made by the Minister of Plantation Industries, to establish a Steering Committee comprising of the representatives of the relevant institutions under the Chairmanship of the Secretary, Ministry of Plantation Industries, with the objective of developing the coconut cultivation successfully, through a proper comprehension of the issues prevailing in the coconut industry and management, was approved by the Cabinet.
