Leasing State Lands to the Sri Lanka Cashew Corporation on long term lease basis

- The proposal made by the Minister of Plantation Industries to transfer the State lands of Poonarin Estate in extent of 479 Acres in Kilinochchi District; Kondachchi Estate in extent of 6,498 Acres and Vellamkulam Estate in extent of 500 Acres in Mannar District; Mankerni Estate in extent of 1,075 Acres in Batticaloa District; Thiriyaya Estate in extent of 681 Acres in Trincomalee District and the land in extent of 441 Acres where Eluwankulama Martin Ipil Ipil Farm is located in Puttalam District, on long term lease basis to the Sri Lanka Cashew Corporation to cultivate cashew, considering the high potentiality prevailing in the country for the cashew cultivation, was approved by the Cabinet.
