Upgrading of the Teaching Hospital - Kandy to a National Level Hospital

- Considering the benefits gained by the patients by upgrading the Teaching Hospital Kandy to a national level hospital, the proposal made by the Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine to rename the said hospital as 'National Hospital - Kandy' and to appoint a Medical Officer in the Deputy Director General Grade as the Head of the Institution, was approved by the Cabinet.
