Launching of a Lottery titled and crediting its income to the Protection of Children - National Trust Fund

- With a view to fulfilling the welfare and future protection of destitute children the and children with special needs, the 'Protection of Children - National Trust Fund' established under the Trust Ordinance on the 01st of October 2019 to mark the World Children's Day, has to be developed systematically. As such, the proposal made by H.E. the President to authorize the National Lotteries Board under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance to appropriately launch the lottery titled 'දරු සම්පත' to be drawn once a week and to credit the excess income from the sale of the lottery ticket: 'දරු සම්පත' to the 'Protection of Children - National Trust Fund' once the cost of the lottery is met out of the proceeds, was approved by the Cabinet.
