The enactment of the National Innovation Agency (NIA) Act

- The proposal made by H.E. the President to publish the National Innovation Agency Bill to establish the National Innovation Agency with the main objectives of coordinating the various stakeholders in innovation and entrepreneurship and minimizing the gap between the commercialization of research and development, the implementation of projects and programmes to prevent duplication and overlapping, reviewing, coordinating and overseeing the activities of a wide range of stakeholders and assisting in the budgetary allocation and programme planning of the Ministry of Finance, drafted by the Legal Draftsman, in the Government Gazette in three languages and to present it in Parliament thereafter, for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
