Press briefing of Cabinet Decision taken on 2019-10-09

Awarding the contract for the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services of CFM56-5B engines of SriLankan Airlines for the period from 15th August 2019 to 31st December 2023

- It is anticipated to have a quantity of 10 overhauls during the period from the 15th of August 2019 up to 31st of December 2023 in 07 engines used for the 03 A320 aircrafts fitted with CFM56-5B owned by the Sri Lankan Airlines. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Finance to award the procurement for performing the said activity to GE Engine Services, LLC (GE), the lowest evaluated substantially responsive bidder selected out of the bids called for on Limited Competitive Basis, for a sum of US$ 57,785,317, was approved by the Cabinet.
