Construction of the 'Siyatha' Wetland Park at Gampaha

- The proposal made by the Minister of Megapolis & Western Development to develop a plot of abandoned paddy land in extent of 16 hectares at Yakkala - Gampaha Road located in front of Bandaranayaka Maha Vidyalaya as a wetland park with environmental and recreational activities with the approval of the other relevant institutions including the Department of Agrarian Development under the 'Sukitha Purawara' Township Development Project and to allocate plots of land of a minimum of 6 perches from the 10% of the land extent acquired for the purpose from the project, to the persons who have lost their lands due to the project, was approved by the Cabinet.
