Press briefing of Cabinet Decision taken on 2019-10-01

Obtaining the approval of the Cabinet for the submission of the draft Bill on Prevention of Offences relating to Sports, in Parliament of Sri Lanka

- In terms of the decision arrived by the Cabinet at one of its previous meetings, the Attorney General has been instructed to prepare the Bill on Prevention of Offences Relating to Sports. The clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the draft bill so prepared and therefore,the proposal made by the Minister of Telecommunication, Foreign Employment and Sports to publish the draft bill prepared incorporating the amendments proposed by the Attorney General in the Government Gazette and thereafter, present the same in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
