Amendments to the National Gem and Jewellery Authority Act, No.50 of 1993

- The proposal made by the Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment, to instruct the Legal Draftsman to draft legislation to amend several sections of the National Gem and Jewellery Authority Act, No.50 of 1993, to arrive at policy decisions in principle to address the legal and institutional issues which have arisen at present and expected to arisen in future and also with a view to achieving the objectives of the Act, was approved by the Cabinet.
