Press briefing of Cabinet Decision taken on 2019-09-17

Supply of Uniforms and other clothing material required for the Three Forces, the Department of Civil Security, the National Cadet Corps, the Sri Lanka Police and the Special Task Force for the year 2019

- The approval of the Cabinet has been granted in the year 2005, to fulfill the textile requirements of the Tri Forces and the other Public Institutions coming under the purview of the Ministry of Defence from the local textile manufacturers. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Defence, to purchase textile material from the selected local textile manufacturers through the Domestic Textile Allocation Committee, on the quotations called to fulfill the textile material requirement of the Sri Lanka Army, the Sri Lanka Navy, the Sri Lanka Air Force, the Department of Civil Security, the National Cadet Corps, the Sri Lanka Police and the Special Task Force, for the year 2019, was approved by the Cabinet.
