Support to the Food Safety and Quality in Sri Lanka Project and Sri Lanka's Nationally Determined Contributions in the Industry Sector Project, proposed to be financed under the European Union grant assistance

- The 'Multiannual Indicative Programme of 2014 - 2020 for Sri Lanka' is due to be implemented under the European Union grant assistance with a view to supporting Integrated Rural Development and Democratic Governance and Reconciliation in Sri Lanka. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Finance, to enter into financing agreements with the European Union to obtain a grant of Euro 11 million and Euro 7.81 million, respectively, for 'Support to Foot Safety and Quality in Sri Lanka Project' and for 'Sri Lanka's Nationally Determined Contributions in the Industry Sector Project', out of the Euro 110 million set apart under the 'Integrated Rural Development in Sri Lanka', was approved by the Cabinet.
