Multi Sector Action Plan for Nutrition 2018 - 2025

- In terms of the National Nutrition Policy declared in the year 2010, it is essential to accomplish the major objectives such as ensuring the involvement and contribution of both health and non-health sectors as well as the Government and Non-Governmental stakeholders in the nutrition improvement process, achieving the sustainable development goals by 2030 including the eradication of all forms of malnutrition and also making contribution to achieve global efforts of ending malnutrition by the year 2025, as agreed at the World Health Assembly held in 2012. As such, the proposal made by H.E the President to obtain approval, in principle to implement the Multi Sector Action Plan for Nutrition 2018 - 2025 (Phase II) which has been prepared with the participation of multi - stakeholders including all the relevant ministries, provincial councils, district and divisional administrative authorities, development partners, donors, agencies, acedemia, business community, civil society organizations and non governmental organizations, was approved by the Cabinet.
