Dry Zone Development Project

- The proposal made by the Minister of Women & Child Affairs and Dry Zone Development to implement the Anuradhapura District the Dry Zone Development Project as the first step of Dry Zone Development Programme in the District of Anuradhapura in the year 2019 incurring an expenditure of Rs.331 million and to carry out the activities of development of agricultural wells, reconstruction of agricultural roads, distribution of the agricultural implements to the beneficiaries, construction of community centres by utilizing a provision of Rs.204 million and to carry out activities of supplying clean potable water, development and improvement of the domestic/small scale industries, training and making awareness and promotion of agricultural productivity by utilizing a provision of Rs. 127 million, under the said programme, was approved by the Cabinet.
