Obtaining the approval for Rs.121 million to be set apart for the development of the Nuwarawela Stadium and Shopping Complex in Kandy

- The proposal made by the Minister of Public Enterprise, Kandyan Heritage and Kandy Development to construct the Nuwarawela Stadium and the Shopping Complex within the Kandy Municipal Council area under the supervision of the Kandy Municipal Council, utilizing a sum of Rs.121 million from the provisions of the consolidated fund, for the enhancement of the living standard of the community specially of the Kandy Municipal Council area and the Gangawata Korale Pradeshiya Sabha, minimizing of the traffic congestion in the Kandy city, increasing the income status of the Kandy Municipal Council, providing a good market price for agro based products and the other products of the people in the area and making better marketing facilities for the consumers, was approved by the Cabinet.
