- The proposal made by the Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development, to award the contract for the construction of 400kv, 220kv and 132 kv transmission lines of the National Transmission Distribution Network Development and Efficiency Improvement Project, Package 1 to the joint venture of Mitsubishi Corporation, Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd. and Ceylex Engineering (pvt.) Ltd., 3-1, Marumouchi, 2 - chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 100-8086, Japan, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
