Proposals for seeking strategic investors for Government land plots designated for immediate development as an Exhibition & Convention Centre an International School and Hospital within the reclaimed land in the Colombo Port City through a Public Private Partnership (PPP)

- The reclamation of land in the newly constructed Colombo Port City has now been concluded and the proposal made by the Minister of Megapolis & Western Development, to call for proposals from the investors, for the international school, the exhibition and communication centre with the option to invest in the convention hotel in the adjacent plot and the international hospital to be constructed, in the land, with the support of the National Agency for Public Private Partnership according to the Development Master Plan and the Development Control Regulations and also to appoint a Negotiation and Project Committee to review the said proposals in accordance with the procurement methodology, was approved by the Cabinet.
