National Waste Management Policy

- The proposal made by the Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment, to prepare the required legal framework and regulations for the effective implementation of the National Waste Management Policy drafted including the existing and emerging categories of all solid, liquid and gaseous waste and extensively identifying the common but differentiated responsibilities of all stakeholders in managing them, was approved by the Cabinet.
