Implementation of a comprehensive joint e-solution for Data and Information Management, Spot Fine Collections and Demerit Point System for drivers in relation to traffic offences

- The implementation of the Report of the the National Agency for Public, Private Partnership established under the Ministry of Finance, inclusive of its observations and recommendations relating to the Implementation of a comprehensive joint e-solution for Data and Information Management, spot fine Collections and Demerit Point System for drivers in relation to traffic offences, has been approved by the Cabinet in principle. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Defence, to get the required feasibility study done by the University of Peradeniya on an estimated sum of Rs.22.2 million (without tax) as proposed by the University, was approved by the Cabinet.
