Signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Sri Lanka and the Government of Maldives

- The proposal made by the Minister of Primary Industries and Social Empowerment, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Sri Lanka and the Government of Maldives with the objective of efficiently and productively carrying out the functions such as, creation of freedom, care, participation and dignity of the elders of Sri Lanka by way of encouraging them, through various programmes to contribute to secure the elders, improve the vocational skills of the persons with disabilities to make them independent persons as well as safeguarding the promotion of the rights of children, women, elders as well as disabled persons, was approved by the Cabinet.
