Memorandum of Understanding entered into between Sri Lanka and Maldives

- The proposal made by the Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Republic of Maldives for the purposes of higher education and water supply sectors, during the visit of Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister to Maldives in September 2019, to receive foreign exchange to the country through the expansion of higher educational opportunities affiliated to the state and non state sectors of Sri Lanka, for the expansion of higher educational opportunities of Sri Lanka within the South Asian Region and to accrue benefits through the investment of specialized knowledge in Engineering of the Water Supply Sector in the Maldives with a view to further extending the friendship and mutual cooperation between the two countries, was approved by the Cabinet.
