Providing relief for the affected people due to acquisition of land for the construction of the Demodara Reskuru Reservoir of the Badulla - Hali Ela - Ella Integrated Water Supply Project

- The proposal made by the Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education, to make a payment of compensation based on the replacement cost of the previously occupied house and compensation based on the present market value of their previously occupied land for 5 families with title deeds, affected due to the acquisition of land for the construction of the Demodara Reskuru Reservoir of the Badulla - Halia Ela - Ella Integrated Water Supply Project and to provide a Grant or a permit for the alternative lands given for 20 families inclusive of the above 5 families and the 15 families who were encroachers in the lands belonging to the Land Reform Commission, under the provisions of the Land Development Ordinance, was approved by the Cabinet.
