Inclusion of Sri Lanka as a founder member of the Coalition on Open Justice under the Open Government Partnership

- Sri Lanka, as a member of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) is presently in the process of implementing its second Open Government Partnership National Action Plan. The Open Government Partnership Secretariat has formally planed to launch a 'Coalition on Open Justice' with the objective of enhancing OGP Member Country capacity to implement the justice related reforms for the benefit of their citizens. In this regard, the OGP Secretariat has extended an invitation to OGP Governments to become founder members of this Coalition. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice & Prison Reforms, for Sri Lanka to join as a founder member of the said Coalition, was approved by the Cabinet.
