National Policy on Technical and Vocational Education - National Education Commission

- The objective of the National Policy on Technical and Vocational Education is to promote access to technical and vocational training and to provide an opportunity for students to gain access from schools to technical and vocational training institutions. This will pave the way for various training opportunities in the fields which are in demand in the labour market with high level participation by the relevant industry players and to take the necessary steps to increase the operational efficiency of the training institutions and to reap the maximum benefits from the investments made in the said fields. Accordingly, the draft Bill on National Policy on Technical and Vocational Education formulated after having obtained the contributions and expertise on a wide range of matters from the experts of the technical and vocational education fields in the Government, private sector and those in the industrial sector and presented by H.E. the President, was approved by the Cabinet.
