17th Steering Committee meeting and Conference of the 'International Network for Water and Ecosystem in Paddy Fields (INWEPF)' - 2020

- 'The International Network for Water and Ecosystem in Paddy Fields' has been established in the year 2004 with the main objective of maintaining a proper water management focusing on the sustainability of the Eco-system of paddy fields. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Economic Affairs, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development, to hold the 17th Steering Committee Meeting and the Annual Conference of the said forum in Colombo in November 2020 with the participation of the member countries of the said forum and its relevant agencies and also to secure the provisions required for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
